‖Dry′o‐bal″a‐nops (?), n. [NL., fr. Gr. δρυ̑σ oak + βάλανοσ acorn + ὄψισ appearance. The fruit remotely resembles an acorn in its cup.] (Bot.) The genus to which belongs the single species D. Camphora, a lofty resinous tree of Borneo and Sumatra, yielding Borneo camphor and camphor oil.
