‖El′e‐phan‐ti″a‐sis (?), n. [L., fr. Gr. �, from ελἔφασ, -φαντοσ, an elephant.] (Med.) A disease of the skin, in which it become enormously thickened, and is rough, hard, and fissured, like an elephant's hide.
