Em‐bed″ (?), v. t. [imp. & p. p.Embedded; p. pr. & vb. n.Embedding.] [Pref. em- + bed. Cf. Imbed.] To lay as in a bed; to lay in surrounding matter; to bed; as, to embed a thing in clay, mortar, or sand.
