Eurypteroidea

‖Eu‐ryp′te‐roi″de‐a (?), n. pl. [NL. See Eurypteroid.] (Paleont.) An extinct order of Merostomata, of which the genus Eurypterus is the type. They are found only in Paleozoic rocks. [Written also Eurypterida.]
