Ha″gi‐o‐scope′ (hā″jĭ‐ō̍‐skōp′), n. [Gr. ἅγιοσ sacred + -scope.] An opening made in the interior walls of a cruciform church to afford a view of the altar to those in the transepts; — called, in architecture, a squint. Hook.
