Nargile

{ Nar″gile (?), Nar″gi‐leh (?), } n. [Per. nārghīl, prop., a cocoanut; prob. so called because first made of a cocoanut.] An apparatus for smoking tobacco. It has a long flexible tube, and the smoke is drawn through water.
