Pol″y‐glot (?), a. [Gr. πολύγλωττοσ many-tongued; πολύσ many + γλω̑ττα, γλω̑σσα, tongue, language: cf. F. polyglotte.] 1. Containing, or made up, of, several languages; as, a polyglot lexicon, Bible.

2. Versed in, or speaking, many languages.
