Rho′do‐den″dron (?), n. [L., fr. Gr. ροδὅδενδρον, literally, rose tree; ρὅδον rose + δένδρον tree. See Rose.] (Bot.) A genus of shrubs or small trees, often having handsome evergreen leaves, and remarkable for the beauty of their flowers; rosebay.
