a debtor: c. gen. (of the amount), Mt 18:24. Metaph., of obligation or duty in general, with reference to favours received or injury done, etc.: Mt 6:12, Ro 1:148:1215:27, Ga 5:3; of sinners, in relation to God (= Heb. חַיָּב; cf. Si (He) 8:5 (6)), Lk 13:4.†
