an end, limit, boundary;

(a) of space: chiefly in pl., τὰ π. τ. γῆς, Mt 12:42, Lk 11:31; τ. οἰκουμένης, Ro 10:18(LXX);

(b) (opp. to ἀρχή) the end: c. gen., ἀντιλογίας, He 6:10.†
