I. "to step in or on, to frequent, haunt" a place, c. acc., of tutelary gods, Aesch., etc.:—c. gen., simply, "to set foot upon", Soph.
II. ἐμβατ. κλήρους "to enter on, come into possession of", Eur.; so, ἐμβ. εἴς τι Dem.
