Infl. fut. -λήψομαι

I. "to have or get a share of, to partake of" a thing, c. gen., Hdt., etc.:—Mid., μεταλαμβάνεσθαί τινος "to get possession of, lay claim to", id=Hdt.

2. the part received is sometimes added in acc., μ. μοῖραν or μέρος τινός Eur., etc.; μ. τὸ πέμπτον μέρος τῶν ψήφων Plat.

3. c. gen. pers. "to share" his "society", Xen.: in bad sense, "to lay hold of, accuse", Ar.
