properly gen. neut. of ὁμός,
I. of Place, "at the same place, together", Il., Soph., etc.
2. "together, at once", ἄμφω ὁμοῦ Od.; δυοῖν ὁμοῦ Soph.; αἶγας ὁμοῦ καὶ ὄϊς "both" sheep and goats, Il.; λιμὸν ὁμου καὶ λοιμόν Hes., etc.
3. c. dat. "together with, along with", κεῖσθαι ὁμοῦ νεκύεσσι Il.; οἰμωγὴ ὁμοῦ κωκύμασιν Aesch.
II. "close at hand, hard by", Soph., Ar.: c. dat. "close to", Soph., Xen.
2. rarely c. gen., νεὼς ὁμοῦ στείχειν to go "to join" my ship, Soph.
3. of amount, "in all", εἰσὶν ὁμοῦ δισμύριοι Dem., etc.
