4. "to bear along with or together", Xen.:—of sufferings and labours, "to bear jointly, help to bear", Soph., Eur.: "to bear with, excuse", Aesch.

II. intr. "to confer a benefit, be useful or profitable", Hdt., attic

II. "to come to terms, be of one mind or to agree with", τινι Hdt.: —absol. "to agree together, be of one mind, concur, come to terms", id=Hdt., Soph., etc.

2. c. dat. rei, "to adapt oneself to, acquiesce in", Plat.;—also, συμφέρεται ὡυτὸς εἶναι "is found to be" one and the same, Hdt.; οὐ συμφέρεται περί τινος "does not agree with" their story, id=Hdt.

III. of events, "to happen, turn out, occur, come to pass", id=Hdt., Ar., etc.
