LAPIS Hepaticus, liver stone.

LAPIS Lazuli, azure stone, an aluminous mineral, of a rich blue color, resembling the blue carbonate of copper. [See Lazuli.]

LAPIS Lydius, touch-stone; basanite; a variety of siliceous slate.
