LENTISCUS

LENTIS'CUS, noun [Latin lentiscus]

A tree of the genus Pistacia, the mastichtree, a native of Arabia, Persia, Syria, and the south of Europe. The wood is of a pale brown, resinous and fragrant. [See Mastich.]
