‖A‐pha″ki‐a (�), n. [NL.; Gr. ἀ priv. + � seed of a lentil.] (Med.) An anomalous state of refraction caused by the absence of the crystalline lens, as after operations for cataract. The remedy is the use of powerful convex lenses. Dunglison.
