Auf (a̤f), n. [OE. auph, aulf, fr. Icel. ālfr elf. See Elf.] [Also spelt oaf, ouphe.] A changeling or elf child, — that is, one left by fairies; a deformed or foolish child; a simpleton; an oaf. Drayton.
