‖Di‐pro″to‐don (?), n. [Gr. δι- = δίσ- twice + � first + οδοὔσ, οδὄντοσ, tooth.] (Paleon.) An extinct Quaternary marsupial from Australia, about as large as the hippopotamus; — so named because of its two large front teeth. See Illustration in Appendix.
