Dras″tic (?), a. [Gr. �, fr. � to do, act: cf. F. drastique. See Drama.] (Med.) Acting rapidly and violently; efficacious; powerful; — opposed to bland; as, drastic purgatives. — n.(Med.) A violent purgative. See Cathartic.
