En‐gorge″ment (?), n. [Cf. F. engorgement.] 1. The act of swallowing greedily; a devouring with voracity; a glutting.

2. (Med.) An overfullness or obstruction of the vessels in some part of the system; congestion. Hoblyn.

3. (Metal.) The clogging of a blast furnace.
