E‐rode″ (?), v. t. [imp. & p. p.Eroded; p. pr. & vb. n.Eroding.] [L. erodere, erosum; e out + rodere to gnaw. See Rodent.] To eat into or away; to corrode; as, canker erodes the flesh. “The blood... erodes the vessels.” Wiseman.
