Ex‐co′ri‐a″tion (?), n. [Cf. F. excoriation.] 1. The act of excoriating or flaying, or state of being excoriated, or stripped of the skin; abrasion.

2. Stripping of possession; spoliation.

A pitiful excoriation of the poorer sort. Howell.
