‖Gy‐nœ″ci‐um (jĭ‐nē″sĭ‐ŭm or –shĭ‐ŭm), n. [NL., fr. Gr. γυνή a woman + οι̑κοσ house.] (Bot.) The pistils of a flower, taken collectively. See Illust. of Carpophore.
