‖He′li‐o‐zo″a (?), n. pl. [NL., fr. Gr. � the sun + ζο̑ͅον an animal.] (Zoöl.) An order of fresh-water rhizopods having a more or less globular form, with slender radiating pseudopodia; the sun animalcule.
