‖Lep″to‐thrix (lĕp″tō̍‐thrĭks), n. [NL., fr. Gr. λεπτόσ small + θρίξ hair.] (Biol.) A genus of bacteria, characterized by having their filaments very long, slender, and indistinctly articulated.
