Mo″tor‐ize (mō″tẽr‐īz), v. t. [Motor + -ize.] To substitute motor-driven vehicles, or automobiles, for the horses and horse-drawn vehicles of (a fire department, city, etc.). — Mo′tor‐i‐za″tion (#), n.
