‖Pol′y‐chæ″ta (?), n. pl. [NL., from Gr. πολύσ many + � hair.] (Zoöl.) One of the two principal groups of Chætopoda. It includes those that have prominent parapodia and fascicles of setæ. See Illust. under Parapodia.
