Raucity

Rau″ci‐ty (ra̤″sĭ‐ty̆), n. [L. raucitas, from raucus hoarse: cf. F. raucité.] Harshness of sound; rough utterance; hoarseness; as, the raucity of a trumpet, or of the human voice.
