{ Sar″co‐col (?), Sar′co‐col″la (?) }, n. [L. sarcocolla, from Gr. �; σάρξ, σάρκοσ, flesh + � glue: cf. F. sarcocolle.] A gum resin obtained from certain shrubs of Africa (Penæa), — formerly thought to cause healing of wounds and ulcers.
