Shi″loh (shī″lō), n. [Heb. shīlōh, literally, quiet, rest, fr. shālāh to rest.] (Script.) A word used by Jacob on his deathbed, and interpreted variously, as “the Messiah,” or as the city “Shiloh,” or as “Rest.”
