Spo‐ran″gi‐o‐phore (spō̍‐răn″jĭ‐ō̍‐fōr), n. [Sporangium + Gr. � to bear.] (Bot.) The axis or receptacle in certain ferns (as Trichomanes), which bears the sporangia.
