Squawk (skwa̤k), v. i. [imp. & p. p.Squawked (skwa̤kt); p. pr. & vb. n.Squawking.] [See Squeak.] To utter a shrill, abrupt scream; to squeak harshly.

Squawking thrush(Zoöl.), the missel turush; — so called from its note when alarmed.
