ἡσύχιος, -α, -ον

(= the more freq. ἥσυχος; cf. Wi 18:14, Si 25:20), [in LXX: Is 66:2 (נְכֵה־רוּחַ)*;]

quiet, tranquil: I Ti 2:2, I Pe 3:4.†

SYN.: ἤρεμος, of tranquillity arising from without; ἡ., from within (v. Ellic. on I Ti 2:2; but also v. CGT, I Ti 2:2.).†
