σιγάω, -ῶ

(< σιγή), [in LXX for חרשׁ, חשׁה, etc.;]

1. intrans., to be silent, keep silence: Lk 9:3618:3920:26, Ac 12:1715:12, 13, I Co 14:28, 30, 34.

2. Trans., to keep secret; pass., to be kept secret: Ro 16:25.†
