{ Am‐phit″ro‐pal (–pal), Am‐phit″ro‐pous (–pŭs), } a. [Gr. αμφἴ + τρέπειν to turn.] (Bot.) Having the ovule inverted, but with the attachment near the middle of one side; half anatropous.
