Chrys″o‐ber′yl (?), n. [L. chrysoberyllus, Gr. �; χρυσόσ gold + � beryl.] (Min.) A mineral, found in crystals, of a yellow to green or brown color, and consisting of aluminia and glucina. It is very hard, and is often used as a gem.
