Fa‐ri″na (fȧ‐rī″nȧ or fȧ‐rē″nȧ), n. [L., meal, flour, fr. far a sort of grain, spelt; akin to E. barley.] 1. A fine flour or meal made from cereal grains or from the starch or fecula of vegetables, extracted by various processes, and used in cookery.
