Far′i‐nose″ (?), a. [L. farinosus: cf. F. farineux.] 1. Yielding farina; as, farinose substances.

2. (Bot. & Zoöl.) Covered with a sort of white, mealy powder, as the leaves of some poplars, and the body of certain insects; mealy.
