‖Gym′no‐blas″te‐a (jĭm′nō̍‐blăs″tē̍‐ȧ), n. pl. [NL. fr. Gr. γυμνόσ naked + βλαστάνειν to sprout.] (Zoöl.) The Athecata; — so called because the medusoid buds are not inclosed in a capsule.
