Gymnocladus

‖Gym‐noc″la‐dus (jĭm‐nŏ″lȧ‐dŭs), n. [NL., fr. Gr. γυμνόσ naked + κλάδοσ a branch.] (Bot.) A genus of leguminous plants; the Kentucky coffee tree. The leaves are cathartic, and the seeds a substitute for coffee.
