‖Haus′tel‐la″ta (ha̤s′tĕl‐lā″tȧ), n. pl. [NL., fr. haustellum, fr. L. haurire, haustum, to draw water, to swallow. See Exhaust.] (Zoöl.) An artificial division of insects, including all those with a sucking proboscis.
