‖Haus‐to″ri‐um (–tō″rĭ‐ŭm), n.; pl.Haustoria (–ȧ). [LL., a well, fr. L. haurire, haustum, to drink.] (Bot.) One of the suckerlike rootlets of such plants as the dodder and ivy. R. Brown.
