‖Hem′a‐to‐phil″i‐a (–tō̍‐fĭl″ĭ‐ȧ), n. [NL., fr. Gr. αἱ̑μα, αἵματοσ, blood + φιλει̑ν to love.] (Med.) A condition characterized by a tendency to profuse and uncontrollable hemorrhage from the slightest wounds.
