‖Lim ‐næ″a (lĭm‐nē″ȧ), n. [NL., fr. Gr. λιμναι̑οσ pertaining to a marsh, fr. λίμη a marsh.] (Zoöl.) A genus of fresh-water air-breathing mollusks, abundant in ponds and streams; — called also pond snail. [Written also Lymnæa.]
