‖Mel′a‐næ″mi‐a (?), n. [NL., fr. Gr. μέλασ, -ανοσ, black + αἱ̑μα blood.] (Med.) A morbid condition in which the blood contains black pigment either floating freely or imbedded in the white blood corpuscles.
