‖O′ö‐the″ca (?), n.; pl.Oöthecæ (#). [NL., fr. Gr. ῳὄν an egg + � a case.] (Zoöl.) An egg case, especially those of many kinds of mollusks, and of some insects, as the cockroach. Cf. Oœcium.
