‖Scy‐phoph″o‐ri (?), n. pl. [NL., fr. Gr. σκύφοσ a cup + φέρειν to bear.] (Zoöl.) An order of fresh-water fishes inhabiting tropical Africa. They have rudimentary electrical organs on each side of the tail.
