I. "to count, reckon, calculate, compute", Hdt.; λ. ἀπὸ χειρός "to calculate" off hand, Ar.:—c. acc. rei, λ. τοὺς τόκους "to calculate" the interest, id=Ar.; τρεῖς μνᾶς ἀναλώσας λογίσασθαι δώδεκα to spend 3 minae and "set down" 12, id=Ar.
