Phren″ic (?), a. [Gr. φρήν, φρενόσ, the midriff, or diaphragm, the heart, the mind: cf. F. phrénique.] (Anat.) Of or pertaining to the diaphragm; diaphragmatic; as, the phrenic nerve.
